Character's development

  • Yūji Itadori : The protagonist quickly grows as an exorcist, wrestling with the morality of killing human curses and Sukuna's presence within him. His determination to protect the innocent and honor the memory of his lost friends is central to his development arc.

  • Megumi Fushiguro : Quiet and thoughtful, Megumi gradually reveals his deeper motivations and complex family connection. His summoning skills develop, showing impressive inner strength.

  • Nobara Kugisaki :Nobara, with her bold attitude and unshakeable will, brings a unique dynamic to the team. Her inventive use of cursed tools makes her a formidable fighter.

Theme and aesthetics

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime explores themes such as the value of human life, the struggle against inner and outer evil, and sacrifice. Choreographed fights and high-quality animation reinforce the visual and emotional impact of these themes.

Conclusion

The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen lays a solid foundation for the future of the series, skilfully blending action, emotion and mystery, but above all a theme much darker than it appears. With engaging characters and a captivating plot, it offers an immersive and enthralling experience. At first glance, you'd think it was a classic shonen, but little by little it shows that it's in a league of its own. While we await further developments, season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen remains an outstanding introduction to this fascinating supernatural universe.

The 1st season of Jujutsu Kaisen immediately endeared me to this exciting universe. I was immediately won over by its freshness, the quality of its animation and, above all, its stakes. What's more, I really like the characters introduced, starting with my two favorites: Gojo & Sukuna. Two characters who are very important to the story, but also very opposite. The hero Yuji is so far rather classic but very endearing, and I couldn't wait to see what the rest of the story had in store for us.

So, now let's talk about the season two !

Introduction

Season two of Jujutsu Kaisen, eagerly awaited by fans, continues to develop the dark and captivating universe introduced in the first season. The series continues the adventures of Yūji Itadori and his comrades at the Tokyo School of Exorcism, while introducing new characters and deepening existing storylines.

Two main arcs :

Gojo's Past Arc

Season two opens with a return to the past, offering a glimpse into the formative years of Satoru Gojō and his friend Suguru Geto. This arc explores their mission to protect the Star Plasma Vessel, Riko Amanai, and their confrontation with Toji Fushiguro, an assassin with no occult energy but formidable physical strength. This arc is crucial to understanding the characters' motivations and philosophies, particularly the ideological divergence between Gojō and Geto, who eventually take a dark and radical path.

Shibuya Incident Arc

The main arc of this season is the Shibuya arc, one of the series' most intense and critical moments. On October 31, the curses led by Suguru Geto and Mahito launch a massive attack in the Shibuya district, luring the exorcists into a trap. The mission of Gojō, Yūji, Megumi, Nobara and their allies is to save the civilians and thwart Geto and Mahito's plans.

This arc is marked by Dantean battles and shocking revelations. The exorcists face formidable adversaries and devastating losses. Geto's strategy to seal Gojō in the Prison Realm upsets the balance of power, leaving the young wizards and their allies struggling to prevent an impending catastrophe.

Character's development

  • Yūji Itadori :Yūji continues to grow as an exorcist, faced with difficult moral choices and the weight of responsibility. His battles with Mahito and others highlight his determination and resilience.

  • Megumi Fushiguro : Megumi is pushed to his limits, revealing new aspects of his abilities and his past. His relationship with his father, Toji Fushiguro, plays a crucial role in his development.

  • Nobara Kugisaki : Nobara demonstrates her courage and skill as she takes on formidable adversaries. His bond with Yūji and Megumi grows stronger, highlighting the importance of their camaraderie in times of crisis.

  • Satoru Gojō : The exploration of Gojō's past adds depth to his character, revealing the reasons behind his commitment to protecting humanity and teaching young sorcerers.

Theme and impact

Season two of Jujutsu Kaisen continues to explore complex themes such as the struggle between good and evil, the sacrifices necessary to protect others, and the consequences of personal choices. The high stakes and intense battles make this season particularly thrilling and emotional. After this season, Jujutsu Kaisen anime will never be the same, and will lead to even darker and more dangerous arcs.

Conclusion

Season two of Jujutsu Kaisen reinforces the series' reputation as one of the most captivating shōnen of recent years. With its blend of spectacular action, deep character development and poignant plot, this season offers fans an unforgettable experience. As we await the sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen continues to fascinate and move its audience, consolidating its status as a must-see phenomenon in the world of animation.

Personally, the Shibuya arc is my favorite by far! It's captivating, shows us exceptional battles and turns our brains upside down. I wasn't disappointed by the anime adaptation, which, on the contrary, made it even better. Many of my favorite fights are present in this arc: Sukuna Vs Makora, Yuji Vs Chose, Gojo Vs the curses...Everything was perfect in this arc, and it feels like there was a before and after Shibuya.

I hope we'll have the same quality of animation and OST for future arcs. Season 3 should arrive in 2025 according to rumors: It will concern the culling game arc ! I can't wait ! As a Sukuna fan...I'm gonna love it so much.

Thank you all for your attention, and see you next time for more articles about Jujutsu Kaisen !
